The following rules govern your use of the Muslim American Leadership Alliance (MALA) web site. The rules set forth herein apply to all materials, online communications and other information that is or becomes available on the MALA web site (collectively, “Information”). By signing on and using the MALA web site, you specifically agree to abide by these rules and any modifications thereto.

Personal Uses Permitted
In connection with the use of the MALA web site, you shall abide by all applicable federal, state or local laws, including those pertaining to such areas as libel, slander, defamation, trade libel, product disparagement, harassment, invasion of privacy, tort, obscenity, indecency, and copyright or trademark infringement (“Applicable Law”). The MALA web site is an online information exchange service for use by the general public. You shall not post, publish, transmit, reproduce, distribute or in any way use or exploit any Information for commercial purposes or otherwise use the Information in a manner that is inconsistent with these rules and regulations.

Any online communications may not be fully confidential, and federal postal regulations do not protect electronic mail. Some administrative personnel may, in the course of their regular duties, have access to communications for technical or operational purposes, and may also disclose any communications to the extent permitted or required by law.

Prohibition Against Rogue Programming
You shall not post, transmit or make available in any way through the MALA web site any software or other materials which contain a computer virus, trojan horse, timebomb, worm or other rogue programming (“Rogue Programming”). Any downloading of software or other materials or any other use of the Information on the MALA web site is at your risk, and you are advised to take adequate precautions to minimize any loss to your system caused by Rogue Programming, including use of anti-virus programs.

MALA has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Internet web site and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by MALA of the site. Use of any linked web site is at your own risk.

Disclaimer of Warranties
The MALA web site is provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation warranties of title, non-infringement, or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. MALA does not warrant that any information is complete, current, or accurate, that the MALA web site will be uninterrupted or error free or that any information is free of Rogue Programming. MALA may make changes to the materials contained on its web site at any time without notice.

Limitation of Damages
Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall MALA be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages that may result from the use or inability to use the MALA web site, including without limitation use of or reliance on information available on the MALA web site, interruptions, errors, defects, mistakes, omissions, deletions of files, delays in operation or transmission, non-delivery of information, disclosure of communications, or any other failure of performance.

Release & Indemnity
You hereby release and waive any and all claims and/or liability against MALA arising from or in connection with your use of the MALA web site. You also agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless, MALA from and against, any and all claims or liability, including costs and attorneys fees, arising from or in connection with your use of the MALA web site or failure to abide by applicable law.

Information Collected Online
MALA uses the information you provide about yourself only to reply to your inquiry or to send requested newsletters. We do not share this information with outside parties except for our newsletter provider, MailChimp, which has its own privacy policy. We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our web site.

Data Security & Children’s Privacy
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, MALA has put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our web site from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our web site is structured to attract anyone under 13.
